Very Affordable Fees: Undergraduate and Postgraduate Fees - £10300 class based £10815 lab based.

 

Range of Scholarships: 25% Postgraduate Regional Scholarship for Bangladeshi students, Merit Scholarship upto 50%, 10% Early Payment Incentive for full fee paying students, Commonwealth Shared Scholarship. Besides these students can also apply for Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) and British Marshall Scholarships.

 

Programmes

Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught Degrees

All UWS courses are career focused to ensure graduates gain employment as quickly as possible. Most students gain employment within the first six months after completing their course. The University aims to widen knowledge through lectures and tutorials; increase skills through practical lab and project work; and to provide the chance to gain real-world experience through exciting work placements

 

Programmes include both class based and lab based studies at undergraduate and post garduate level as well as range of research degrees (MRes, MPhil, PhD) in: Business / Education / Engineering / Computing / Health, Nursing & Midwifery / Creative Industries / Social Sciences / Science / Sport  

 

Durations vary depending on level of entry and desired qualification. Several 3rd year entry programmes are available at undergarduate level for students with HND or equivalent.

Entry Requirements

Undergraduate Programmes

Year 1 Entry: 3 A levels at with a minimum of CCC + 3 GCE \'O\' levels including English and Math

Some courses require better results. Some courses require additional compusory subjects.

 

Year 2 Entry: 3 A levels at with a minimum of BBB + 3 GCE \'O\' levels including English and Math

Advanced Entry Point / 3rd Year Entry Undergraduate Programmes

Year 3 Entry: QA HND/BTEC Level 5 HND/Foundation Degree

 

Postgraduate Programmes

A UK Equivalent Degree for direct entry master degree or equivalent

Post Graduate Diplomas available in some subjects

 

English requirements

Genreally an IELTS 6.0 with no band score below 5.5 is required.

ETCS Points

 

All Scottish universities use the ScotCAT credit system. 1 ScotCAT credit is equal to 0.5 ECTS credits and can be taken back and credited towards your degree at your home university.

 

1 normal module = 10 ECTS credits (20 ScotCAT credits)

The amount of credits you will gain while studying at UWS depends on your length of study:

 

1 trimester: 3 modules = 30 ECTS credits (60 ScotCAT credits)

 

2 trimesters/1 academic year: 6 modules = 60 ECTS credits (120 ScotCAT credits)
