At Taylors College, our unique learning environment allows you to fulfil your ambitions and to enjoy life at university and beyond.

With a history spanning 90 years, Taylors College, has been offering quality pathway entry to Australian and International students. It began as George Taylor and Staff (GT&S) offering tuition to students of the University Melbourne and was one of 13 colleges at the time to do so. Whilst all of the other colleges eventually shut down, Taylors college, as it was later known, grew stronger and in 1952 recruited its first international student.

 

Taylors College is the official pathway provider for some of the best universities including group of eight universities such as the University of Sydney and University of Western Australia as well as some top universities of New Zealand  - University of Auckalnd, Massey University and AUT University.

programmes at these universities. The Taylors Certificate in Foundation Studies (AFY) is also a nationally recognised university entrance qualification.

The Programme

Course Information

 

A choice of programmes – depending on your ability and requirements, we have an appropriate programme to best suit your needs. Successful completion leads to year 1  guaranteed by any of the partner universities, but as the course is recognized by universities throughout New Zealand as well as universities in Australia, progression to year 1 can be gained at other universities as well.

 

The course is available in 3 forms to suit the needs of different students.

 

STANDARD PROGRAMME

 

The standard programme is a 4 term, 35-40 weeks in duration, course, depending on the time of year of enrolment.
January, July and August intakes
Programme length: 40/38/35 weeks (4 terms)
Study five subjects – English plus four electives.

 

INTENSIVE PROGRAMME

 

April and October intakes
Programme length: 30 weeks (3 terms)
Study five subjects – English plus four electives


The intensive programme is designed for students who have higher English and academic grades. Students who choose this option must cover the same amount of material as in the standard programme but in a shorter timeframe.

Designed for students who do not meet the academic or English entry requirements consisting of two academic terms of preparatory coursework inclusive of five compulsory subjects. The final four terms consist of the standard programme.
