ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

 

Year 9 Pathway Entry: 9 Subjects taken plus 8 taster subjects, Age of entry 13+, IELTS 4.5, Academic: Completed Year 7 and Year 8 (own country). Strong grades and excellent academic reference. Enrichment Programmes: Mandatory from 6 pathways

 

Year 10 Pathway Entry (GCE Yr 1): 7 to Subjects 30 hrs, 3 or 4 terms over 1 year class,  Age of entry 14+, IELTS 5.0, Academic: Completed Year 8 and Year 9 (own country). Strong grades and excellent academic reference. Enrichment Programmes: Mandatory from 6 pathways, September to June Four terms: January to December

 

Year 11 Pathway Entry (GCE Yr 2): 7 to Subjects 30 hours 3 or 4 terms over 1 year class,  Age of entry 15+, IELTS 5.0, Academic: Only for students studying GCSE in British International School. Strong grades and excellent academic reference. Enrichment Programmes: Mandatory from 6 pathways, Three terms: September to June Four terms: January to December

 

A level Pathway Entry: 7 to Subjects 24 hrs per week 3, 5 or 6 terms class,  Age of entry 15.5+, IELTS 5.5 (3 term IELTS 6.0) / TOEFL 513 (computer test equivalent 183 , TOEFL iBT 65) / Pearson Test of English Academic 48-51 or equivalent, or Study Group English Test, or GCSE English language Grade A–C. For students who have not reached this level the Bellerbys English Language Preparation Programme is available before the A Level programme, Academic: 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above in the appropriate subjects, or equivalent evidence of a good secondary or high school education. September, January and April Start.

 

Foundation Pathway: Age of Entry: 16.5, IELTS 4.5 (no less than 5.0 in writing)/ TOEFL 477 (computer test equivalent 153, TOEFL iBT 53) / Pearson Test of English Academic 40-43 or equivalent or Study Group English Test Minimum requirement of IELTS 4.0 (or equivalent) in writing.

 

International Year One Foundation: Age of Entry: 17.5+, IELTS 5.5 (no less than 5.0 in writing) / TOEFL 513 (computer test equivalent 183, TOEFL iBT 65) / Pearson Test of English Academic 48-51, or equivalent, Academic: Completion of Senior High School (and in some countries, evidence of a further year’s study) · 2 A Level passes, Bellerbys Foundation or equivalent · Over 21s considered on individual basis

 

Pre Masters: Age of Entry 21+, 1 term: IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL 513 / TOEFL iBT 65 Pearson Test of English Academic 48–51, or equivalent. 2 terms: IELTS 4.5 / TOEFL 477 / TOEFL iBT 53 Pearson Test of English Academic 40–43, or equivalent, Academic: Completion of Senior High School (and in some countries, evidence of a further year’s study)· 2 A Level passes, Bellerbys Foundation or equivalent · Over 21s considered on individual basis.

PASTORAL CARE: GCSE Pathway pastoral care For students on the GCSE Pathway Programme pastoral care is extended to a house system with a house master/ mistress and a resident matron. All students on this programme are on a full board (all meals) basis and will have an en-suite room on campus. Rooms are in separate wings for boys and girls and all students will have access to common areas.

 

NEXT STEP: Through our extensive network and strong relationships with Universities you will be provided with opportunities to visit a variety of University campuses. You will also receive personal guidance from tutors to help you choose the right University and course.
