Entry Requirements

Foundation Courses

Academic requirements:

You need to have completed 12 years of schooling (or the local equivalent to meet the same standard) with very good grades.

 

English requirements:

3-term programme (including Headstart: IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in writing) or equivalent.

4-term programme: IELTS 5.0 (with a minimum of 5.0 in writing and no less than 4.5 in any subskill) or equivalent.

What's the difference between the 3 and 4 term course?

Lasting 4 terms, the Extended International Diploma incorporates an additional term of intensive English tuition on the same visa, and typically has a lower English language entry requirement.

If you need to study more than one term of English in order to reach the level necessary for academic study you should aply for the English for University Study course.

Tuition fees do not include:

  • Enrolment fee: an additional charge of £150 per academic programme (to be charged upon confirmation).
  • Text books: an additional charge in the region of £210 per 3-term or Headstart academic course, or £280 per 4-term academic course.
  • lab fee: an additional £400 per year for science-based courses to cover the use of laboratory facilities.
